Smart insoles SOCCERPRISM

Diagnostic advanced and research of the analysis of sports mechanics.

Football is one of the most beloved sports on the planet, it associates physical contact, fast and discontinuous movements. These characteristics make athletes susceptible to injuries that may be irretrievable, causing many financial losses to investors to finalize the athlete’s career. With this in mind, we present SOCCERPRISM, the most advanced system for the analysis of sports mechanics.

SOCCERPRISM smart insoles are ideal for static analysis and advanced dynamics of the gait in football players. Single with up to 100 pressure sensors and 2 sets of 6-axis inertial sensors, there is nothing that comes close to the world market. The SOCCERPRISM system works with the use of the application, so that the user obtain real-time biomechanical, static and dynamic pressure and data maps, integrated rehabilitation tools, research tools and a data management system fully integrated the clouds. The importance of preventing injuries is finally being diffused, given the need to provide increased athlete performance through a global functional improvement. The good static, conditioned by the good support of the feet on the floor, provides adequate joint dynamics and harmonic movements, with less energy expenditure. An asymmetry of the feet will always have repercussions on upper structures and will require an adaptation of the postural system.

The SOCCERPRISM system prevents these injuries, with the weekly gauging the athlete has in an application all his or her evolucinal history of the tread, the data are accompanied by the medical department of the athlete’s current soccer team, by a private doctor or in case the athlete opts for the Full Pack plan their analyzes are done by our group of specialists with online attendance, that way there will be an alert whenever the system detects changes that may result in physical damages for the athlete. The analysis of the mechanics of a sporting trauma can become imprecise when performed alone, in a time of inconstancy, and recurrence of the injury can occur due to ineffective therapeutic treatment – it does not perform an adequate global assessment, seeking the cause of the dysfunction and relating the underlying structures.

A postural imbalance is never present in isolation. A good example of this is recurrent knee injuries, such as patellar dislocations, common in soccer players. They can be caused by poor static of the feet, usually associated with the absence / decrease of the plantar arch, which leads to the disruption of ascending muscular chains, leading to compensations for adjacent areas such as knee and hip – there is possibility of evolution with trunk changes , shoulder and head. The imbalance of the plantar arch that causes the pronated foot, also known as “flat foot”, leads to the internal rotation of the tibia and femoral axis (geno valgo) and medialization of the patella, with compensations in the hip and increase of the column curvatures.

Patients with this type of foot will have greater instability in the ankles and knees, being more susceptible to limiting injuries in soccer, such as sprains of ankle and knees. Another common injury of soccer athlete is the Pubalgia, pathology of difficult treatment, responsible for the remoteness athlete for an average of six months. It is caused by an abdominal overload, associated with pelvic-leg imbalances and an overuse of the hip flexor muscles, always recruited at the time of kicking. The SOCCERPRISM system can prevent this injury by means of a biomechanical analysis of the athlete and intervention in the muscular imbalances of the whole lower limb.

The SOCCERPRISM system was created to avoid the injuries commonly caused to the soccer athletes. Many are caused by the use of inappropriate footwear, as well as the type of lawn or soil used. An evaluation of the feet and of the foot is indispensable because it allows to identify structural alterations that predispose imbalances in the mechanisms of neuromuscular control. From this analysis it is possible to adapt the footing and prescription of the correct boot, according to the distribution of plantar loads and walking dynamics.

The application of intervention in the SOCCERPRISM sports area was created for the prevention of injuries and also for the treatment of the injured athlete, with the adoption of preventive and restorative measures aiming at enhancing abilities to improve performance during the game. The intention is to reduce the occurrence of injuries, which, once they occur, promote the removal of the athlete and the consequent damage to the club the life of the athlete.
